The Alexander Group's Approach for Board Searches:

Client Meeting We meet with the Governance or other appropriate Committee, as well as any other Board members who would be relevant to the process. From these meetings, we gain an understanding of the challenges faced by the company and its Board. We then collaborate to identify the type of experience and skill set necessary for the Board position.

Identification of Candidates The Alexander Group's research department identifies individuals appropriate for our client's specific needs, augmenting our extensive proprietary database. We provide a list of potential candidates we will be contacting and reasons why they would be suited for the particular Board position.

Board Candidate Interviews We conduct in-depth interviews with all Board candidates. During our interviews, we identify strengths that the candidate would add to the Board, the candidate's philosophy of corporate governance, and any limitations to his or her ability to serve as a fully committed Board member. We orchestrate candidate interviews with the Board and Governance Committee through the successful conclusion of the search.

Background Investigations The Alexander Group conducts thorough investigations on selected Board candidates, including credit reports, criminal reports, litigation, as well as obtain information on their employment history. We supplement these investigations with individual reference reports.
